Biodiversity Workshop with Dale Treadwell
All our classes enjoyed a biodiversity workshop with Dale Treadwell from ‘Heritage in Schools’ programme today. Dale engaged through story with the pupils as he is an author of a series of children’s wildlife books. He outlined the importance of the 5Bs of Biodiversity: bugs, butterflies, bees, bats and birds through interactive, fun and hands on activities. The pupils enjoyed looking at the ‘ladybugs’ and playing the game ‘BAT’ on the yard. All classes enjoyed a walk around our school grounds with Dale helping them identify key features of trees locally. Thank you to Mrs Cudden and the Green School Committee for organising this event in line with our flag – Biodiversity.
